Instructions
1 - Preheat oven to 420ºF/medium/200ºC for about 10 minutes.
2 – Meanwhile, arrange chicken breasts on a baking dish. Season it with half garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and wine rest for about 10 minutes.
3 - Bake chicken breasts uncovered for about 20 minutes until firm outside, but not completely cooked inside.
4 – In the meantime, heat butter, stir in garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. When fragrant, add mushrooms and mix until liquid evaporates. Add both condensed cream soups and the double cream, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens. Add chives, season again with salt and pepper. Rest aside.
5 - Pour sauce on chicken breast and bake for about 30 more minutes, until chicken is cooked through (insert a knife blade to test for doneness or use a cooking thermometer – 165Fº/ Cº) and cream thickens, bubbles, and lightly browns.
Notes
You can make this easy creamy chicken bake recipe with thicker cream sauce, BUT in this case, you don't need to add water.
