Ingredients

  • 9 slices bacon streaky, thick cut also works

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Take each slice of bacon and twist it firmly into a tight spiral.
  • Place the twisted bacon in the air fryer basket, making sure the pieces are not overlapping.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes, or until the bacon reaches your preferred level of crispness.
  • Once crisp and golden brown, remove the bacon and place it on a plate lined with kitchen paper to drain.
  • Let the twisted bacon cool for a few minutes before serving, as it firms up as it cools.

Notes

Nutrition values are an estimate. Twist the rashers firmly, as a loose spiral unwinds as the fat renders. Do not let the pieces touch in the basket or they fuse together. Thick cut bacon needs 6 to 7 minutes; turkey bacon needs 3 to 4 minutes at 375°F.
