Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly coated.
Transfer the apples to the prepared baking dish and spread them into an even layer.
In a separate bowl, stir together the rolled oats, flour, and brown sugar. Pour in the melted butter and mix until crumbly and the texture resembles wet sand.
Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples, covering them completely.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the apples are tender and the topping is deep golden brown.
Let the apple crisp cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
