Ingredients  

  • 1 kg chicken wings flats and drumettes, patted dry
  • 1 tbsp oil avocado or any neutral oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • BBQ sauce optional, for brushing

Instructions

  • First, preheat the Ninja Woodfire Grill on Smoke mode to 375°F (190°C) and slide the crisping tray inside while it heats. Add wood pellets.
  • Next, pat the chicken wings completely dry, then toss them with the oil.

  • Then mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chilli flakes, salt, and pepper, and coat the wings evenly.

  • After that, arrange the wings in a single layer in the tray and smoke at 375°F for about 13 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Finally, brush with BBQ sauce, warm for 1 minute inside the grill, and serve immediately.

Notes

Nutrition values are an estimate. Chicken is safe at 165°F; for extra-tender meat take wings to about 175°F. Milder fruit-wood pellets (apple, cherry) suit chicken; hickory gives a bolder smoke.
