How to Make This Easy Homemade Biscuits?
STEP 1 – Grease a medium-sized baking pan with butter.
STEP 2 – In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder; rub the butter into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
STEP 3 – Add milk and, to prevent the bread from getting tough, work the dough until ingredients are just blended and form a ball that does not stick to your hands.
STEP 4 – Transfer to a floured work surface and, using a rolling pin, roll out to about 2 cm (¾ in) thickness.
STEP 5 – Cut dough into circles about 3 cm (1¼ in) in diameter and place on the prepared baking pan, leaving space between them.
STEP 6 – Cover biscuits with a towel and let stand for 15 minutes while you preheat the oven to 220ºC (425ºF / hot / Gas 7).
STEP 7 – Bake for 12 minutes or so, until they are golden brown and risen.
STEP 8 – Wait 5 minutes and serve.
