If you’re trying to think about the perfect comfort and healthy side dish for a winter or fall dinner, this is it: a truly baked beans recipe. Baked beans are pure tradition, impossible to resist and so, so delicious. It’s not a difficult recipe to make, taking only an hour to prepare.
If you want to make it even easier, you can buy canned beans and save yourself some time; if you wish, you can cook 1lb dry navy or any white beans of your choice. Use water in an instant cooker pan or crockpot to cook beans until tender, drain them and they will be ready to use! An extra tip is to freeze the extra beans so you can use them for another occasion. Could it get any more convenient than this? Surely not. Just researching a bit you will find that most baked beans don’t tell you to use the oven, differently from this one. You’ll find it even tastier! You can serve this as a side dish with several options, such as roasts, rice, and potatoes.
